Today we were sketching with the Anacortes Sketchers at Aleli's beautiful home. Aleli collects: Santas-wonderful detailed Santas, big and small, and books. I love looking at her library, she buys the most interesting books!
This year, however a new theme that has been hidden away for a long time emerged. She brought out her BEARS! Beautiful designer bears made from old quilts, gorgeous fabrics and old furs. Lauren Bacall Bear is sitting around waiting for Humphrey Bogart, dressed in red with a ribbon and lace veil on her head and wearing a black fur. I spied her right away and said you are mine, I will paint you while you hang around waiting for that dead guy.
