Lopi Stove

We hopped onto the ferry and freeways for a trip to N. California for Thanksgiving with part of the family.  This family heats their house with a Lopi stove and the sun.  I took advantage of both and sketched the stove, still life's of squash from their garden and even the shadows on the porch.

The last of the garden harvest with many baby squashes and gourds.
God bless the stove!  It's cold this time of year in the Sierras!
This is Pear, no pear, because the little squash made a pear shaped shadow.

Initially I was going to sketch this as a black and white, but decided at the last minute to add touches of color.
